I’m gonna go collapse into bed now.I was never as big a fan of Rose as I was Jade, but with time and many rereads, I’ve found myself taking a shine (ba-dum-tish!) to the girl.If my Kanaya painting took visual cues from statues of the Virgin Mary, then this piece takes its own from the Woman Clothed with the Sun (who is arguably also Mary, but I’m not splitting hairs here.)Pencil, watercolors (opaque and transparent), and gold and silver pigment on hot press watercolor paper.
